KTS helps deliver Australia’s largest fully automated parking system
Kingfisher Technical Solutions has helped ensure Australia’s largest fully automated parking system, in a luxury high-rise west of Sydney, was delivered to schedule and budget.
The Lennox, a commanding 43-storey residential landmark designed and built to revitalise the riverfront incorporates a 373-space automated parking system (APS) across six levels within the 152-metre tower’s basement.
KTS was appointed by the developer and builder of The Lennox, EQ Constructions Pty Ltd. They worked with the client, and their architectural team, in developing the automotive parking system concept, and then throughout the four-year construction period to project completion.
Through attention to detail at the tender stage and alignment of all parties, KTS ensured there were no disputes at the end of the project when deliverables required sign-off.
KTS’s knowledge and experience also bridged the gap between the APS vendor’s technical team in Germany and the client’s construction team in Australia. With KTS reviewing and approving the numerous technical documents, the on-site team were able to focus on construction of the tower.
As part of their scope, KTS accompanied the client to the APS vendor factory in Germany to carry out progress reviews, quality inspections and approve payment applications.
Site Acceptance Testing was a key contract deliverable, however, as a result of Covid-19, KTS was not able to attend site, and instead carried out the testing remotely.
